Kitesurfing Lesson and Course Maresme-Barcelona

LEVEL: DISCORVERY:

(3 hours approx.)

In this initial phase, you will get the thrill of discovering the amazing world of kiteboarding at Maresme Kitesurf in a safe and fun way. We focus on giving you the necessary tools so you can control the kite, understand the environment and enjoy the most from the first day.

What you will achieve in this level:

1. Wind theory: We will teach you how to identify the conditions, the spot and more so you can learn how to use it to your advantage.
2. Equipment knowledge: We will show you how all the equipment works (kite, harness, etc.), but don’t worry, it’s easier than it looks!
3. Safety first: Because we want you to enjoy yourself to the fullest, you will learn the keys to be safe at all times, learning how to use the safety systems and when to activate them.
4. Kite control: Here comes the fun part. On land, you will start to learn how to control the kite and how it generates power.

This phase is fundamental to create a solid base before moving to the water and starting to practice kiteboarding in a more advanced way.

LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE:

(3/4 hours approx.)

Intermediate level of kiteboarding: Master the water At the intermediate level, you will move into action on the water, consolidating what you have learned and gaining more control over the kite and board. At this stage, your goal will be to improve your kiteboarding skills while handling the wind and equipment with more precision.

What you will achieve in this level:

1. Relaunch from the water: You will learn how to lift the kite from the water after a fall, which is key to keep you moving.
2. Body drag with the board: We will teach you how to glide through the water with the kite while keeping the board under control, a fundamental skill to recover the board if you lose it.
3. Water start: You will practice how to get up from the water and start sailing standing up, keeping your balance and controlling the kite and the board simultaneously.
4. Navigate in both directions: You will gain the ability to glide in both directions smoothly and steadily.

This level will prepare you to sail with greater autonomy, improving your technique and safety in the water.
